This is my internet speed and therefore the Sirann server speed. This is after my recent upgrade from the basic infinity to the improved version.  www.speedtest.netWho can beat it ? |

Bah, this has reminded me that i need to talk to BT about upgrading again. Last time i tried, they refused to talk to me about my account without me giving them my customer id number, which because i don't get paper invoices for my BB i don't know. I did ask them to write to me including it, but they never did. My current speed is  Aparantly BT infinity should be available in my area in around 6 weeks. |

That's double what I was getting before I went to fibre optic.
The Infinity package requires normal phone line account and broadband to be the same.
Can you log on to get your emails via BT ?
Try looking under MyAccount. All the info should be available online.

more internet problems exchange has been upgraded and bt must be doing work in the evening/night as i cannot get online with any speed after 8pm ish  been like this since friday..... |

Keep on at them about it. I had similar at work and they saw no problems their end. My router showed speed etc. but I wasn't being assigned an IP address. Then, out of the blue....it was there. The girl on the phone said all she did was ping my line and didn't think it would have helped but I think it did. Whatever they're doing to upgrade/change exchanges knocks lines out until they're actually tested on an individual basis. That's my idea anyway. |

speedtest.net is not 100 accurate as thers is lots of stuff going on in the background while testing so the result would be slightly higher than what speed test reports, now this wont be a lot maybe 0.5 mbs to 1.0 mbs more than shown

 this is mine at moment, currently have 3 pcs connected 2 phones and ohh noticed my xbox was also on lol averger is 89 to 91 so not worried about that small loss while other stuff is running |

bt are offering 150 meg in some places but i dont thin k ill bother with it im happy with 80 to 90 lol

Won't be available for me.
If they want online telly etc., they'll need to up their game big time. Even good connections can lag and have the old "loading" spinning icon !

not sure what bt are doing to the exchange but my downloads normally sit steady at 89 to 92 meg but for reason today it been sitting at 105 to 110. unless this silly wind we have has blown some line down and im getting full usage of exchange lol

Wind has been playing havoc here too. I think it was the cause of some of the lag recently.
